The Filters Make The Difference

• The basic scientific principals involved in all of the Austin Air filters are rooted in the use of activated carbon and True Medical HEPA filtration media.
  
  
  Filters are engineered to last for up to 5 years. The Pre-filter helps to significantly extend the life of the 3-stage filter underneath. In order to properly maintain the effectiveness of the filter all you have to do is periodically vacuum the outside of the machine, clearing away the larger and most visible particulate matter …we call it dust.
  
  STAGE 1:  Large Particle Pre-filter. 
  STAGE 2: Medium Particle Pre-filter.
  STAGE 3: Over 780 cubic inches of Activated Carbon and Zeolite. Removes gases and odors.
  STAGE 4: 60 sq. ft. of True Medical Grade HEPA. Removes 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns and 95% of all particles larger than 0.1 microns.
  STAGE 5: Military Grade HEGA Carbon Cloth provides an extra large surface area for absorption.
